The Team at Greenland Bends Design Build

Leon Ogden

Owner/Master Carpenter &
Designer

Leon Ogden is the Owner of Greenland Bends Design Build and also has extensive experience in carpentry and design. Growing up in Southern Vermont as the son of a carpenter and living in the house his father built, Leon developed a passion for building from a young age. With an Associate’s degree in Architectural Engineering and over 10 years of experience in the construction industry, he blends hands-on craftsmanship with 3D design modeling to bring his clients' visions to life.

He founded Greenland Bends Design Build with the belief that homes should be more than just structures—they should reflect the personalities and lifestyles of the people who live in them. Leon is committed to creating meaningful spaces that foster lasting memories, and he places a strong emphasis on building relationships with both clients and employees, treating everyone like family and giving back to the community. Outside of work, Leon enjoys hiking, snowboarding, fishing, and traveling with Aliza and their two dogs.

Amanda Buening

Carpenter's Assistant

Amanda Buening is the Carpentry Assistant at Greenland Bends. She discovered her passion for woodworking through personal projects at home, paired with her long-standing interests in residential design and working with her hands. Amanda has a Bachelor's degree in Communications and is pursuing a Design Certification with New York School of Interior Design. She previously spent 8 years in recruiting, where she honed her ability to work in busy environments with many moving parts.

Amanda's desire to help others make their homes beautiful and functional spaces is inspired by the joy she gets from working on her own home. Having moved many times in her life, she views homes as an opportunity to set roots and make spaces that inspire and connect. Working at Greenland Bends allows her to learn and be a part of each step of the design and construction process. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, puzzles, live music, cooking, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
